Movie Trailer of the Day: The first official (real) trailer for Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis’s formerly-faux-film Machete is extremely… opportune.

The highly-anticipated Mexploitation flick, which stars Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin, Jessica Alba, Rose McGowan, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Don Johnson, and Robert DeNiro, is set to be released September 3.

This is one of those small kernels of pride that we Hispanics/Mexicans get every once-in-a-while. We hardly get represented in films, and even then, we rarely get to be badass in them. Danny Trejo isn’t the most handsome representative, but he’ll do. Props to Robert Rodriguez for this.

P.S. - Yes, I’m stoked that we have Lindsay Lohan & Michelle Rodriguez in this, but you knew that.
