I was Marla for Halloween.

I never really take cameras to parties - I usually just steal the pictures from other people. But I get impatient waiting for shit to be posted on Facebook, so here are some pictures of my Marla costume. I’m really proud of it. Sure, it was easy to throw together - apparently I owned everything required to be Marla, except for the hat which I bought 2 hours before going out.

The thing I’m most proud of, is my hair. I have longish hair. It’s not as long as I’d like it to be, but it’s considered “long”. I wasn’t about to cut it just so I could play dress up. So instead, I twisted and knotted the shit out of it, fastened it with 7,563 bobby pins, and then curled the ends and fucked em up with hair spray. It took 2 hours. Yes I could have worn a wig, or hid it in the hat. But I felt like that was cheating.

Anyway, yeah. I said shit all night like “is this cancer?” and “I found cigarettes!”. Some guy called me a “fucking tourist” all night long (it was only funny the first time), so being Marla, I was basically a cold, smart-mouthed bitch to him for most of the night. He was annoying and not wearing a costume; he didn’t have an excuse.
