I would use the warp whistle to get to Cloud Land just so I could wear the tanooki suit.

(Ugh, as an adult, I feel dirty saying “tanooki suit”.)

Now I know how girls feel when they say “I wish my closet looked like that.”

So photographer Neil Krug & model Joni Harbeck worked on a little project together called the Pulp Art Book. You can get a decent look at some of its contents if you click on over to their site. As part of their badassness, they did this little trailer for the book that is all sorts of excellent. Big ups to Matthew Jacob for the heads up.

Amazingly, Vice got together with Where The Wild Things Are and created a mini-zine/comic/blog. You can go there and check out works by 24 artists along with some links to articles, interviews, & videos as well. Even still, you can download a PDF of the mini-zine/comic on top of some pretty sweet iPhone wallpapers. The film is coming out next week, and I know it can be easy to overload on the hype, but I think this might be worthy of investigating if only for the designs and works each artist came up with.

wisdom tooth, it’s d-day :(

A Good Luck and Get Well Soon wish goes out to Michelle who’s getting her Wisdom Tooth pulled today. I’m glad it’s not me. Here’s hoping she remembers to keep the tooth and make some Super Rad jewelry for one lucky person. Me? I’m just happy to find an excuse to re-blog some of her always awesome MS Paint Art. It’s gonna be a decent day. Be strong Bink!!

Frump Monster about to wreck on dessert.

A few weeks back, I hollered at the Frump Monster to hang out with ya boy in the twilight of the LA Film Festival. After catching the Propaganda Films Music Video Retrospective and ditching what was probably the lamest panel/discussion afterwards, we decided to hit up what is referred to as “The Best Burger in LA”.

I still can’t say whether its the best one in LA, but damn if that shit wasn’t “Bomb-Dot-Com”. It’s a tiny place that has been around since the 40’s, which means no AC system. So don’t attempt to eat there anytime while the sun is out during the summer. You can also order up and take the grub to go as well which is acceptable. We opted for a burger, soda, & fries each however, we could’ve done without one of the orders of fries. I’m not known for my sweets, but we had to try the homemade Apple Pie ala Mode. Let me just say:

Vintage Homemade Apple Pie Recipe + Dutch Vanilla Ice Cream = Mouth Orgasm

If you wanna know what this super fantastic place is and where it’s located, hit me up and I’ll bestow this great gift of culinary knowledge upon you. Oh and before I forget, while excellent, this place is located in LA, which means it’s quite overpriced. It’s also Cash ONLY, so be sure to hit up the ATM before you go. Nom nom nom…
